The Balto® Soft addresses elbow joint pain in dogs, lameness and discomfort associated with repeated wearing of joints in the front limbs. This dog elbow brace is a great solution for those suffering from limited mobility following injuries to the elbow joint. This breathable compression wrap, made with non-neoprene material, provides stability and support to your dog's front legs without compromising natural movement. This elbow brace is an excellent option for dogs in need of additional support while maintaining an active lifestyle.

Brace Applications:
  • Sprains and strains of the collateral and annular ligaments
  • Structural support for soft tissue injuries to the elbow joint
  • Chronic elbow pain management
  • Complementary treatment option to physical therapy – can be used in combination with hydrotherapy and acupuncture
  • This brace can be used on healthy joints, muscles and ligaments to prevent injury and provide structural support.
  • Wound management; protection of bandages and topically applied medication from biting, licking, gravity and friction
Brace Features:
  • Compressive adjustable padding that stabilizes the joint on a variety of dogs sizes.
    • Compression helps increase blood flow in the affected area, which helps reduce stiffness, pain, and inflammation
  • Adjustable upper and lower padding straps can be lengthened or shortened on the leg to ensure an excellent fit
  • Anchors to the opposite front limb for stabilization.
  • Supports a single affected canine elbow - For double elbow support, visit the Balto Soft Plus

Non-neoprene

All Balto® braces are made from high-quality materials, not neoprene, which is known to: collect bacteria, provide inadequate support, and wear down quickly. A variety of sizes ensure a secure fit. No pinching straps.

Recommended for all ages unless otherwise advised by veterinarians. Apply brace for balanced increments of time, if appropriate, for pets under the age of 2 to prevent possible growth disturbances.

A clean brace not only prevents infections, irritation, and a stinky smell; but it also allows your brace to last longer. To help support the longevity of your bracing device, here are some of our tips on how to properly clean your orthopedic bracing:

  1. Remove as much hair as possible from any Velcro® frequently to prevent compaction.
  2. Use lint roller or lightly adhesive tape to remove hair from the material of the brace.
  3. By hand, use warm water and a gentle cleansing soap to remove any stains and odors.
  4. Rinse soap thoroughly from the brace
  5. Hang to dry. Once the brace is completely dry, it is ready for use!

Top Quality

Bought this for a 10.5 year old Chinese Shar-Pei with elbow arthritis. The quality is exceptional! Really terrific line of products! Just ordered a Flexor hock brace for another dog.

Helpful

Our senior lab mix tore something in his left elbow in April and it didn’t seem to be healing even though he was restricted to always being on a leash and no running. By the end of May, we found this brace and decided it was worth a try to help stabilize his leg so it doesn’t keep exacerbating itself. It did take a week or so for me to get the tension on the brace straps just right to where it wasn’t shifting down on our walks, it needs to be on pretty tight while leaving room for good circulation. He only wears it on his 2 short walks each day but it does seem to be helping! I wouldn’t trust this to stay in place while he’s lying down or rolling around in the house but he really has taken to it on our walks. Hopefully the continued stability keeps allowing slow healing to where we won’t need it anymore.

Quality seems great, velcro straps are in good places making it very adjustable. He’s worn it in the rain a couple of times and it hasn’t gotten stinky yet.
