Soft Plus – Double Elbow Brace

The Balto^® Soft Plus addresses bilateral elbow joint pain in dogs, lameness and discomfort associated with repeated wearing of the joints in the front limbs. This canine double-elbow brace is a great solution for dogs suffering from limited mobility following injuries to the elbow joints. This breathable compression wrap, made with non-neoprene material, provides stability and support to your dog's front legs without compromising natural movement. This elbow brace is an excellent option for dogs in need of additional support while maintaining an active lifestyle.

How to Apply Brace

Step 1

Prepare the brace by opening the straps and place the brace over the dog's back (Fig.1).

Step 2

Position the brace by lining up the padding with the elbow. Secure the Velcro strap. The dog needs to be standing with their weight catered (Fig. 2).

Step 3

Use the Velcro strap to adjust the length of the back strap. Position the contralateral padding with the elbow (Fig. 3).

Step 4

Secure the Velcro strap (Fig. 4).

Step 5

The back strap is adjustable: Remove the Velcro ends and cut the strap to the desired length. Reapply the Velcro ends and tightly close with the Velcro strap to ensure the brace is stable (Fig. 5).

• How many elbow Velcro straps are on each brace?
  • The quantity of elbow straps depends on the size of the brace. The larger braces cover more surface area, so more straps are necessary. All sizes equally support the elbows.
• Does this brace come with extra padding?
  • Yes! This comes with extra pieces of padding.
• Can I wash the padding?
  • Yes! You can hand wash the padding with a gentle soap and warm water. Line dry.

REPLACEMENT PART Velcro® Tabs

A clean brace not only prevents infections, irritation, and a stinky smell; but it also allows your brace to last longer. To help support the longevity of your bracing device, here are some of our tips on how to properly clean your orthopedic bracing:

1. Remove as much hair as possible from any Velcro^® frequently to prevent compaction.
2. Use lint roller or lightly adhesive tape to remove hair from the material of the brace.
3. By hand, use warm water and a gentle cleansing soap to remove any stains and odors.
4. Rinse soap thoroughly from the brace
5. Hang to dry. Once the brace is completely dry, it is ready for use!
