The Balto® Joint is a great solution for dogs suffering from soreness or limited mobility following injuries to the carpal (wrist) joint. This breathable compression wrap, made with non-neoprene material, provides stability and support to your dog's rear legs without compromising natural movement. This canine wrist brace is an excellent option for dogs, especially seniors, in need of additional support while maintaining an active lifestyle.

Brace Applications:
  • Sprains and strains of the front limb
  • Structural support for soft tissue injuries to the carpal joint
  • Chronic front limb soreness and pain management
  • Complementary treatment option to physical therapy – can be used in combination with hydrotherapy and acupuncture
  • This brace can be used on healthy joints, muscles and ligaments to prevent injury and provide structural support.
  • Wound management; protection of bandages from biting, licking, gravity and friction
Brace Features:
  • Two airplane aluminum splints – medial and lateral that are slightly malleable for a more custom fit.
  • The brace can also be used without splints for conditions such as arthritis and arthrosis.
    • Compression helps increase blood flow in the affected area, which helps reduce stiffness, pain, and inflammation
  • Adjustable upper and lower padding straps can be lengthened or shortened on the leg to ensure an excellent fit

Comes in sizes x-small through x-large. To find the best size for your pet, visit the sizing chart here.

Non-neoprene

All Balto® braces are made from high-quality materials, not neoprene, which is known to: collect bacteria, provide inadequate support, and wear down quickly. A variety of sizes ensure a secure fit. No pinching straps.

Recommended for all ages unless otherwise advised by veterinarians. Apply brace for balanced increments of time, if appropriate, for pets under the age of 2 to prevent possible growth disturbances.

  • Allow up to two weeks for your pet to fully accept the brace
  • Wear the brace for 30 minutes a day, increasing 30 minutes each day after, for up to 12 hours
  • Consult your veterinarian for specific instructions on when to wear your brace
  • Remove the brace when your animal sleeps at night
  • Inspect your pet for signs of skin irritation. If any are present, contact your veterinarian
  • In addition to wiping the brace clean, keep skin and fur that comes into contact with the brace clean
  • Inspect your brace regularly for any damage

A clean brace not only prevents infections, irritation, and a stinky smell; but it also allows your brace to last longer. To help support the longevity of your bracing device, here are some of our tips on how to properly clean your orthopedic bracing:

  1. Remove as much hair as possible from any Velcro® frequently to prevent compaction.
  2. Use lint roller or lightly adhesive tape to remove hair from the material of the brace.
  3. By hand, use warm water and a gentle cleansing soap to remove any stains and odors.
  4. Rinse soap thoroughly from the brace
  5. Hang to dry. Once the brace is completely dry, it is ready for use!

Carpal Compression Band

I started out, putting this on my German shepherds for an hour, intermittently during the day, when I was home, currently, they wear I t all day,; I take it off when they go to sleep at night. The band has helped their arthritis tremendously,; less pain, they’re able to walk longer distances, the Carpal compression band has helped to improve their lifestyle and mobility.
