Learn How Properly Fit the Balto Hock to Your Cat

All Balto® braces are made from high-quality materials, not neoprene - which has been known to collect bacteria, provide inadequate support, and wear down quickly. A variety of sizes ensure a secure fit. No pinching straps.

For indoor-outdoor cats, please remove the brace prior to going outside.

Recommended for all ages unless otherwise advised by veterinarians. Apply brace for balanced increments of time, if appropriate, for pets under the age of 2 to prevent possible growth disturbances.

  • Allow up to two weeks for your pet to fully accept the brace
  • Wear the brace for 30 minutes a day, increasing 30 minutes each day after, for up to 12 hours
  • Consult your veterinarian for specific instructions on when to wear your brace
  • Remove the brace when your animal sleeps at night
  • Inspect your pet for signs of skin irritation. If any are present, contact your veterinarian
  • In addition to wiping the brace clean, keep skin and fur that comes into contact with the brace clean
  • Inspect your brace regularly for any damage

A clean brace not only prevents infections, irritation, and a stinky smell; but it also allows your brace to last longer. To help support the longevity of your bracing device, here are some of our tips on how to properly clean your orthopedic bracing:

  1. Remove as much hair as possible from any Velcro® frequently to prevent compaction.
  2. Use lint roller or lightly adhesive tape to remove hair from the material of the brace.
  3. By hand, use warm water and a gentle cleansing soap to remove any stains and odors.
  4. Rinse soap thoroughly from the brace
  5. Hang to dry. Once the brace is completely dry, it is ready for use!

OLie from South AFrica

WOW the service was extremely efficient, and FAST delivery was excellent.

Order placed on Saturday 20th April from South Africa and was received today Thursday 25th April.

VERY VERY IMPRESSIVE.

I will be taking my Cat to the Physiotherapist on Saturday to help me fit them, to ensure they fit right. Shame poor little boy was born with with No MUSCLE in his HOCK, so we searched and searched and eventually found your company. NO ONE in South Africa makes this. He was really suffering to walk and I have to help him.

I can only send picture once Physio has helped me fit.

Thank You Balto Italy.

Andies

Our girl is 19yrs old. She has arthritis and one hock has a fracture. Our veterinary said she wanted both hocks to have a brace because even with the arthritis shot she received monthly there is a lot of inflammation.

We just did our first 30 minutes.

We are so hopeful this will help her get back up and going

Thank you for your product

Hock Brace for Cats

This brace has been a life saver! My cat unfortunately was attacked by a couple of dogs last year, and it left him with permanent nerve damage in his back leg. I've tried several different braces to help him walk easier and prevent further damage to his hock joint. The braces I tried either weren't strong enough to keep his leg from bending improperly, or they were poorly designed and irritated his leg causing cuts and sores. This is finally the perfect design for a brace that is both supportive and comfortable. Glad I found this!
