The Balto^® Jump stifle knee brace is carefully designed to stabilize your dog's post-traumatic or acquired knee joint deficiency. The Balto® Jump is designed to support one of the most common injuries in canines, Cranial Cruciate Ligament (CCL) trauma. Affecting millions of patients annually, CCL injuries include: full or partial tearing of the ligament, Luxation of the patella, and Knee joint conditions such as arthritis, arthrosis and varus/valgus instability. This canine knee joint brace is a great solution for dogs suffering from limited mobility following injuries to the CCL joint. This breathable compression wrap, made with non-neoprene material, provides stability and support to your dog's rear legs without compromising natural movement. This knee brace is an excellent option for dogs in need of additional support while maintaining an active lifestyle.

• CCL tears (partial and full)
• Partial CCL tears can take about 6 months to stabilize, and up to a year to form mature scar tissue to stabilize the knee to regular function.

• The brace can also be used without splints for conditions such as arthritis and arthrosis.

All Balto® braces are made from high-quality materials, not neoprene, which is known to collect bacteria, provide inadequate support, and wear down quickly. A variety of sizes ensure a secure fit. No pinching straps.

Recommended for all ages unless otherwise advised by veterinarians. Apply brace for balanced increments of time, if appropriate, for pets under the age of 2 to prevent possible growth disturbances.

Instructions for Use

INSTRUCTION WITH ANCHOR KIT (MALE)

Step 1

Prepare the brace by opening the straps (Fig. 1).

Step 2

Position the brace by lining up the central hole with the dog’s knee (patella) and secure all the Velcro straps (starting with the bottom strap) around the leg by passing them through the buckles. Tightly close with the Velcro straps.

Step 3

Pass the back strap over the dog’s back, open up the anchor kit, and close it around the top of the contralateral leg. Tightly close with the Velcro strap.

Step 4

The straps and anchor kit are adjustable: Remove the Velcro ends and cut the strap to the desired length. Reapply the Velcro ends and tightly close with the Velcro strap to ensure the brace is stable.

Step 5

Pass the collar strap under the collar or harness (Fig. 5A and 5B) and attach the other strap under the back strap (Fig. 5C).

INSTRUCTION WITHOUT ANCHOR KIT (FEMALE)

Step 1

Prepare the brace by opening the straps and remove the anchor kit (Fig. A1). Make sure the back strap is attached to the inner thigh (lower) buckle (Fig. A2).

Step 2

Position the brace by lining up the central hole with the dog’s knee (patella) and secure all the Velcro straps (starting with the bottom strap) around the leg by passing them through the buckles. Tightly close with the Velcro straps.

Step 3

Pass the back strap UNDER the abdomen and over the back. Insert it into the top buckle of the brace and tightly close with the Velcro strap.

Step 4

The straps and anchor kit are adjustable: Remove the Velcro ends and cut the strap to the desired length. Reapply the Velcro ends and tightly close with the Velcro strap to ensure the brace is stable.

Step 5

Pass the collar strap under the collar or harness (Fig. 5A and 5B) and attach the other strap under the back strap (Fig. 5C).

Returns & Exchanges

Once the product reaches the purchaser, Balto USA reserves the right to refuse a full refund. Balto USA will accept returns or requests for refunds for any product within 30 days of receipt of product. Refunds will only be honored if during the initial fitting the product is determined to be a poor fit, function, and/or the product is affecting the health or healing of the patient. Visual inspection may be required.

The brace must be in resale condition to receive a refund. This means that the brace cannot have hair, wear, dirt, and/or no modifications can have been made to the brace. If the packaging is damaged there will be a 10% restocking fee deducted from that product's refund. After we receive the brace back, we will evaluate its condition and then issue a refund.  Balto USA does not offer refunds for refusal from your pet to wear the product. If the purchaser simply does not want to use the device for reasons other than described above, Balto USA will not issue a refund.

For supplemental nutritional items that include but not limited to Myos®, Kodiak Naturals, and Pincher® Chews: Returns and exchanges are only available for unopened, sealed products in original packaging.

Balto USA will NOT cover the cost of return shipping. If you are needing to exchange your brace, a return mailing label will be provided for you once your request has been approved. To exchange a product, you will need to place your new order online. Once we receive the return or exchange back, we will evaluate its condition and then issue you a refund. Returns and exchanges must be in resale condition to receive a refund.

If for any reason delivery is confirmed by the carrier and the product cannot be found, a police report must be filed before a replacement is sent. If the product is lost by the carrier, Balto USA will file a claim and a replacement will be sent.

REPLACEMENT PART Velcro® Tabs

A clean brace not only prevents infections, irritation, and a stinky smell; but it also allows your brace to last longer. To help support the longevity of your bracing device, here are some of our tips on how to properly clean your orthopedic bracing:

1. Remove as much hair as possible from any Velcro^® frequently to prevent compaction.
2. Use lint roller or lightly adhesive tape to remove hair from the material of the brace.
3. By hand, use warm water and a gentle cleansing soap to remove any stains and odors.
4. Rinse soap thoroughly from the brace
5. Hang to dry. Once the brace is completely dry, it is ready for use!
